Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis
We can't wait to see you!
When IT incidents occur, most of us feel compelled by our organization to focus on getting the system back up and running. But how often are we able to take a step back and focus on the bigger picture and the more long-term view? Some of us have systems that enable us to spot systemic problems and other trends, and some have problem resolution groups supporting us. But how often do we feel confident that our organization is effectively collaborating to identify and prevent the root causes of our problems, and then identify and apply solutions that will truly prevent recurrence and reduce risk?
During our joint HDI-itSMF meeting in April, we’ll hear from Chris Eckert, president of Sologic, who has worked with IT Service Management professionals at companies like Microsoft, Cisco, Boeing and Nationwide Insurance -- utilizing root cause analysis to solve IT problems ranging from server crashes, monitoring issues and major investigations, to positive and proactive analyses that enable replication of successes.
Chris will provide an overview of the Sologic root cause analysis method -- which aligns perfectly with ITIL best practices related to problem management -- and enables IT professionals to effectively analyze and solve problems, and communicate findings to benefit the organization.
The presentation will include a demonstration of Sologic Causelink™ software that enables RCA facilitators to visually depict cause and effect relationships, prepare final RCA reports, and analyze and share data.
